Job Title: Clinical Education Manager

Indiana Donor Network is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Education Manager to lead the development and implementation of initial and ongoing orientation, department monthly, annual and continuing education for clinical roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight and leadership for clinical teams, including developing and implementing department policies and procedures utilized in operations and ensuring staff compliance with Indiana Donor Network and UNOS policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate and participate in continuous improvement of new clinical employee orientation, including organizing and overseeing and presenting monthly new hire bootcamp for clinical teams and continually assessing the effectiveness and content of the new hire staff training program.
  • Oversee and contribute to annual competencies and continuing education for clinical teams, including creating and developing educational content and resources for clinical teams to include teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works. Also, manage Indiana Donor Network Learning Management System (LMS) platform for clinical meeting attendance and meeting recordings database.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Clinical organ donation experience required. Greater than 1 year of leadership experience, preferred. Educator/preceptor experience preferred. Master's degree preferred. ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required or to be completed within 6 months of hire date. Maintains proficiency in the field.
  • Knowledge of regulatory/accreditation requirements imposed by CMS, UNOS and FDA.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Skill in excellent customer service, both internal and external.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common specific scientific and technical journals and financial reports.
  • Ability to respond effectively to common inquiries or complaints from customers, staff, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Basic computer and software skills.
  • Ability to master new technology that relates to education delivery.
  • Ability to be flexible in a dynamic work environment and to work efficiently in high stress situations.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with all levels of management and employees.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle conflicting priorities and deadlines appropriately.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently as well as delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Ability to obtain AHA Instructor Certification.
  • Ability to maintain a current, valid driver's license.
