Position Overview
We are actively seeking qualified candidates for the role of Part-Time Clinical Instructors to educate students in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. This position involves mentoring students in clinical settings within the Indianapolis area.
The commitment required is one 12-hour shift per week for each 8-week session at designated clinical partner sites.
Candidates holding a completed MSN are encouraged to apply; prior teaching experience is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical instruction and community service.

Assume responsibility for all aspects of individual teaching assignments.

Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care to individuals or groups.

Make yourself available to agency staff.
Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students based on performance relative to course objectives.
Be available for student remediation as necessary.
Orient and maintain current knowledge of agency/clinical policies and procedures with assistance from agency personnel.
Develop and assign written clinical tasks aligned with students' knowledge, skills, and learning needs.
Timely correct and return assignments, quizzes, tests, and other written work.
Contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of programs and the College.
May teach didactic content under the supervision of the course coordinator.
Keep the course coordinator informed of student and agency issues.

Collaborate with college administration, staff, and faculty to enhance overall college operations and student satisfaction.

Participate in the College Assessment Program and campus retention initiatives.

Serve as a professional role model in customer service, collaboration, communication, and professionalism.

Utilize relationship skills for group problem-solving and consensus-building.
Adhere to all applicable regulatory standards.
Report to the dean or assistant dean, with direct oversight from a course coordinator.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- A Master's in Nursing (MSN) or a doctoral degree (DNP/PhD) in nursing from an accredited institution
- An unencumbered nursing license
- Active BLS Certification
- At least three years of professional experience as a registered nurse within the last five years in the area of instruction
Compensation
In alignment with pay transparency laws, the expected compensation for this position ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate's education and experience. Actual pay may vary based on job-related factors such as course type, experience, geographic location, and departmental budgets.
