Responsibilities:- Provide operational support to the Prescription department, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
- Interact effectively and professionally with all location departments, patients, prescribers, payors, and pharmacies related to prescription requests.
- Develop proficiencies in utilizing Epic, our electronic health record system.
- Work independently, handling multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Accurately review and process e-prescriptions, faxed prescriptions, and patient calls, following Prescription Department guidelines.
- Communicate any issues that may delay prescriptions to patients and work with the prescription specialist supervisor to resolve issues.
- Assist with maintaining the prescription pool, keeping it up-to-date, and managing open encounters and in-basket management.
- Follow all asset protection and personal safety guidelines as outlined in the department Policy and Procedures.
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- Current unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Massachusetts
- 1+ years of retail Pharmacy Technician experience
