Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preschool Floating Teacher-After School Lead to join our team at The Peace Rose Montessori School. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading our Afterschool program and providing exceptional care and education to our students.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Afterschool program, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote learning and development in our students.
  • Manage classroom materials and maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
  • Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling and positive reinforcement.
  • Follow all school policies and procedures, as well as state and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and some higher education in a related field (associate's degree or higher).
  • Experience working in a preschool classroom, with a focus on classroom management and leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, colleagues, and parents.
  • Ability to lift a child approximately 40 lbs several times a day, if needed.
  • Physical ability to sit on the floor with children when needed.
  • Upbeat and energetic team player with a positive attitude.
