Role Summary
The Senior IT Business Analyst, Commercial Operations is tasked with collaborating with cross-functional teams at all levels to enhance the company's capabilities by translating business needs into IT-based solution requirements. This role ensures that the designed solutions align with those requirements. The individual will lead the analysis efforts on significant, complex, and functionally rich projects that influence our Sales and Marketing divisions along with our Specialty Products Division. This position operates across multiple functions and provides advanced subject matter expertise in business processes, technology, data, and organizational design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts comprehensive business needs analysis and defines solution requirements, user stories, user personas, and acceptance criteria through various methods (interviews, workshops, etc.) from diverse perspectives (functional, performance, security, etc.) across a variety of stakeholders.
  • Facilitates negotiations regarding the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders to define a cohesive set of capabilities and solution requirements.
  • Analyzes, models, and evaluates current processes, workflows, user flows, and data to propose enhanced business processes that meet requirements.
  • Participates in evaluating potential solutions for their viability in meeting the established requirements.
  • Identifies and analyzes stakeholders in terms of the solution impact and collaborates with the project team to determine effective engagement strategies throughout the project.
  • Engages in test planning and use case development activities to ensure that the solution meets business requirements and that new functionalities from enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
  • Provides advanced solution support as needed, applying deep expertise in the functional area and technology to ensure effective use of the solution.
  • Acts as a liaison between business users and IT counterparts to design, develop, test, and deploy enhancements, fixes, upgrades, etc.
  • Develops and maintains documentation (e.g., user documentation, training materials, etc.) as changes are made to the solution.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in business-facing solution delivery roles.
  • 5+ years of experience in the design, delivery, and support of Sales and/or Marketing technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with solution delivery life cycle processes (e.g., Agile, DevOps, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Experience in business process analysis/design and capability mapping.
  • Proven proficiency in the skills required for this role.
