Position Overview:

As a key contributor to the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab within the Wargaming Division, you will be responsible for delivering Scientific and Technical Outputs by engaging in Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation to pinpoint future challenges and opportunities. You will develop warfighting concepts and thoroughly investigate options to guide the combat development process, addressing the challenges of future operational landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a process and procedural expert to create, design, document, implement, assess, and enhance a variety of IT and Cyber business processes aimed at optimizing IT management, service delivery, and improving cyber compliance.
  • Analyze, design, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and refine information technology and cybersecurity business processes and protocols.
  • Develop, test, validate, and document workflows, procedures, and processes.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities for new and enhanced business process solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve root causes of issues, recommending modifications to processes and procedures.
  • Review and provide feedback on implementation strategies and standard operating procedures.
  • Assess the effectiveness of IT business processes, addressing workflows and information security needs, and suggesting enhancements.
  • Perform audits of information technology (IT) programs and projects.
  • Collect feedback on customer satisfaction and internal service performance to promote continuous improvement.
  • Establish methods to monitor and evaluate risk, compliance, and assurance initiatives.
  • Offer ongoing optimization and problem-solving support.

Required Qualifications:

Security Clearance:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Secret clearance is required at the outset, with the capability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology.
  • 5-12 years of relevant experience in IT (aligned with DoD Cybersecurity Workforce 803, 802, or 801).
  • Must hold a DoD Cyber certification as an IAT level II (any of the following: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH).
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Master's degree in Information Technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting system issues.
