About the Role

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a highly skilled Senior Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Oregon. As a key member of our Northwest Area business, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams in the planning, evaluation, and design of wastewater treatment facilities, including conventional unit processes and specialized systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to engineers and technical staff on wastewater process and facility design.
  • Collaborate with project managers, client service managers, and other project personnel to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships in the Portland area and surrounding region, identifying opportunities for business growth and development.
  • Supervise the work of others, providing technical support and mentorship to team members.
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal development and client presentations.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field) required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience in municipal wastewater project management or design management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Effective facilitation of team coordination meetings and client interactions.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and relationship management skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Oregon and Washington, or ability to obtain registration within 6 months of hire.
