About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer III to join our Rocky Hill, Connecticut Transportation Group. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects throughout the Northeast, collaborating with clients such as CTDOT, MassDOT, RIDOT, and Maine DOT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project specifications and lead the development of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members and aid in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
  • Perform quality control reviews of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables and assist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Primary focus areas of expertise will include Roadway Drainage Design, Roadway/Highway Design, Vertical and Horizontal Alignments, Traffic Engineering, Pavement Section Design, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Design, and Cost Estimating.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • BS/MS degree in Civil Engineering/EIT Certification is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in transportation, highway, and roadway design.
  • Proficient in Bentley MicroStation & Bentley Open Roads Designer and/or proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Experience with common industry hydraulics/hydrology software and experience working with CTDOT Hydraulics and Drainage is a plus.
