Job Summary

This is a supervisory position responsible for directing the activities of personnel to maintain and improve the manufacturing plant, fixed assets, systems, offices, and campus of the Milford facility.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering or a related field, with demonstrated supervisory/management skills, including leading, delegation, and follow-up.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the safety of personnel and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Organizing vendors, people, and resources to manage projects to stay on budget and on time.
  • Preparing RFQs and RFPs for the procurement of plant services, systems, and equipment.
  • Establishing and reporting on metrics that support Plant and Facility KPIs.
  • Responsible for the training and development of technicians.
  • Recognizing and rewarding team accomplishments, celebrating team and organizational success.
  • Ensuring open and clear communication to department employees.
  • Ensuring critical facility systems, including fire suppression, security, HVAC, electrical, compressed air, water, and nitrogen gas, are fully operational.
  • Ensuring critical support equipment, such as cranes, hoists, roll-up doors, docks, and fume collection, are fully operational.
  • Completion of yearly reviews for team members and setting annual and quarterly objectives.
  • Completion of detailed accident investigation reports for all accidents.
  • Driving LEAN principles and implementing tools for measuring continuous improvement.
  • Conducting and/or overseeing both planned and unplanned inspections and audits to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance operations.
  • Performing other duties as requested, directed, and assigned.
  • Investigating and evaluating equipment and systems failures.
  • Ensuring individual activities embrace sustainability, reduce the impact on the environment, minimize waste, maximize recycling, minimize energy and water usage.
  • Supporting a culture of innovation through original thinking to improve processes, methods, systems, or services; translating new ideas into business opportunities.

This position requires frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional weekend work.
