Clinical Psychiatric Pharmacist

Essential Role FunctionsThe Clinical Psychiatric Pharmacist is responsible for daily team-based rounding on their assigned unit and providing exceptional clinical care to patients.
This role involves ensuring optimal clinical care in the acute and residential/partial psychiatric setting, which includes aspects of general medicine, through assessment of patient-specific factors and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications- Education: BS and/or PharmD from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Residency experience required. PGY2 residency in Psychiatry preferred. Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or Psychiatry preferred.
- License: Unrestricted pharmacy licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts within 90 days of hire
- Experience: Previous hospital pharmacy experience required.
This role is typically performed in a hospital pharmacy environment, working under constant time deadlines. There may be occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals and substances.
Physical and Mental RequirementsThis role requires moderate stress levels, repetitive use of hands and fingers, and extended periods of standing, walking, and bending. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
This role requires the ability to work independently, handle stress appropriately, and work cooperatively with other members of hospital and pharmacy staff. The ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) is also essential.
