Job Summary

The Clinical Research Fellow position at Houston Methodist is a key role in the development and execution of clinical research projects. As a Clinical Research Fellow, you will work under the supervision of a Principal Investigator to plan, execute, and complete clinical research projects.

This position provides structured education and hands-on experience in areas such as epidemiology, biostatistics, clinical pharmacology, and biomedical ethics/regulation. Upon successful completion of the fellowship program, a certificate of fellowship will be granted.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct patient contact to support the performance of clinical protocols
  • Enroll subjects into prospective studies and obtain informed consent from patients and legally authorized representatives
  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator, research team, and healthcare professionals for problem resolution and achievement of research study goals
  • Serve as a mentor and provide educational and research oversight for other learners
  • Role model effective communication and teaching skills
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school or Pharm D or Doctoral degree (PhD) in a medical field
  • 0-4 years of post-terminal experience as a Clinical Research Fellow
