Job Summary

">

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Medical Dialysis Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Dialysis Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines for patient treatments">
  • Obtain and document necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient">
  • Evaluate vascular access pre-treatment and perform vascular access cannulation">
  • Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed">
  • Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy">
  • Evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access and discontinues dialysis treatment according to established procedures">
  • Reports any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to supervisor">
  • Enter all treatment data into the designated clinical application in an accurate and timely manner">
  • Collect, labels, appropriately prepares, and stores lab samples according to required laboratory specifications">
  • Clean and disinfect dialysis machine surface, chair, equipment, and surrounding area between treatments according to facility policy">
  • Assists other healthcare members in providing patient education">
  • Prepare, organize, and efficiently use supplies and equipment to prevent waste">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required">
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or a related facility (preferred but not required)">
  • Continued employment is dependent on successful completion of the Fresenius Medical Care dialysis training program and successful completion of CPR certification">

Salary Range: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
