Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Software Engineer to join our team at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset Wealth Management, Highbridge Capital Team. As a key member of our agile team, you will play a critical role in enhancing, building, and delivering top-notch technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with peer developers, developing secure and high-quality production code, and driving decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes. You will also have direct interactions with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and teams in Middle Office, Finance, and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with peer developers to design, develop, and deploy secure and high-quality software solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability
  • Identify and prioritize technical issues and implement solutions to improve system performance and reliability
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong background in Java/Python and React JS
  • Experience with Snowflake, AWS Public Cloud Technologies, and Terraform
  • Expertise in architecture, design, and system integrations
  • Proficient in Database technologies such as RDS Oracle and RDS SQL Server, with strong SQL query skills
  • Experience in Agile development teams and familiarity with Agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a Hedge Funds, Asset Management, or Investment Banking environment
  • Prior exposure/experience to SRE responsibilities will be helpful – Monitoring Dashboards, Alerts & Notification Management for AWS Services & App Services
  • Datadog prior working experience would be a plus
  • Familiarity or prior working knowledge with vendor systems - Arcesium, Eze, and Bloomberg is advantageous
