As a registered nurse (RN) on our Central Resource Float Pool, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care and making a positive impact in our community.

A Day in the Life

In this role, you will float throughout the facility to all units within your scope of practice, including ICU's, Telemetry Units, Medical/Surgical Units, and Behavioral Health. You will provide clinical and administrative support on the unit, working closely with the clinical team to create and implement care plans that meet each patient's unique needs.

You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Your primary function will be to instruct and educate patients and their family members, administering prescribed medications using the 5 rights to medication administration, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs.

Your Qualifications

  • We require a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferably with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
  • Minimum of three years of acute care experience with demonstrated and proven competency in several specialty areas.
  • BLS certification is also required.
