We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Central Resource Float Pool position. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and support. Your primary function in this role will be to instruct and educate patients and their family members on various aspects of their care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities will include:- Collaborating with the clinical team to create and implement personalized care plans that meet each patient's unique needs and goals.
- Administering prescribed medications safely and effectively, using the 5 rights to medication administration.
- Providing education and guidance to patients and their families on various aspects of their care, including disease management and treatment options.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, including discharge planning needs.
Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:- A graduate degree from an accredited nursing program.
- A minimum of three years of acute care experience, with proven competency in several specialty areas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a Compact state.
