Job Responsibilities

The general custodian will be tasked with the following duties:
  • Execute assigned cleaning tasks in a commercial setting.
  • Ensure all responsibilities are completed within the designated timeframe while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Perform sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming of hallways, staircases, and office areas.
  • Dust and wipe down furniture and surfaces.
  • Empty and clean waste receptacles and trash bins; manage recycling materials.
  • Sanitize and maintain cleanliness in restrooms.
  • Restock restroom supplies as needed.
  • Utilize a power vacuum for efficient cleaning.
  • Select appropriate cleaning agents and apply correct dilution ratios.
  • Adhere to manufacturer guidelines for all cleaning products.
  • Maintain an organized supply cart.
  • Assist in preparing facilities for meetings and events.
  • Follow directives from the Account Manager.
  • Adhere to the established daily cleaning routine.
  • Implement step-by-step procedures for each cleaning task.
  • Observe safety protocols when using equipment.
  • Report any equipment issues or unusual occurrences to the Account Manager.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards that meet customer expectations.
  • Keep all cleaning equipment and supplies in order.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Comply with safety policies to maintain a secure workplace.
Qualifications
  • Must successfully pass background checks as required.
  • Prior experience in custodial work is preferred.
