School Speech Therapy Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a school setting. This role is essential for supporting students with communication challenges and ensuring they receive the appropriate interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
- Evaluate student communication abilities, identify disorders, and assess eligibility for services.
- Facilitate meetings such as testing and screening, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and parent conferences to discuss evaluation outcomes and develop treatment strategies.
- Create comprehensive documentation including activity logs, treatment plans, and reports to track progress and communicate with stakeholders.
- Address inquiries from parents, educators, and students regarding communication issues.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid billing procedures in accordance with district policies.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess:
- ASHA certification or be a Clinical Fellow.
- A valid Virginia SLP license, either provisional or full.
