Overview:
A rapidly expanding food production and distribution organization is seeking an exceptional leader to oversee the Accounting and Finance division.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the creation of the budget and financial projections while analyzing variances.
- Prepare and disseminate timely monthly financial reports.
- Implement financial risk management strategies.
- Direct accounting functions including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Facilitate the preparation of regulatory reports.
- Investigate technical accounting matters to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Guarantee quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
- Develop and enforce corporate accounting policies to ensure adherence to GAAP for all financial reporting, while remaining updated on changes in accounting regulations.
- Manage compliance with local, multi-state, and federal reporting requirements and tax obligations.
- Lead, inspire, and develop the accounting team and its structure.

Qualifications:
- Active CPA license is mandatory.
- Experience in the Food Production sector is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
- A minimum of 8 years of combined experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Solid knowledge of tax reporting, including multi-state and shareholder considerations.
- Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
- Experience with ERP systems implementation; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly preferred.
- Exceptional technology, analytical, and management skills are essential.
- This position requires in-person work during standard business hours.
