Job Summary:

The Veterinary Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the medical team within an animal care facility, adhering to the policies and procedures established by Mission Veterinary Partners. This position involves providing medical assistance to patients in accordance with veterinary practice regulations.

Responsibilities:

Key Contributions:

  • Participate in special cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Facilitate client interactions, including appointment scheduling and payment processing.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients.
  • Accurately document all relevant medical and client information in patient records.
  • Review medical documents and discharge instructions with clients.
  • Answer phone inquiries in a professional and informative manner.
  • Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in various veterinary skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
