Companion Homemaker

Job Summary:

The Companion Homemaker position is responsible for assisting our residents with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life. This role requires a strong commitment to providing personalized care, maintaining a safe and clean living environment, and collaborating with our care team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with non-personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide homemaking services, including meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or mental conditions to the care coordinator or supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment, adhering to our community's standards and regulations.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, considering residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist residents with medication management, as needed.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Document resident care activities, progress, and any concerns or issues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in companion care or a related field is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
