Job Summary

The Director of Nursing for the Dual Diagnosis Department will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with acute mental health symptoms and substance use. This includes developing and implementing nursing activities, coordinating 24-hour nursing coverage, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nursing activities to ensure patient-centered care
  • Coordinate 24-hour nursing coverage for the facility
  • Ensure compliance with nursing care standards established by federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
  • Develop and manage nursing staff to ensure effective and efficient care delivery
  • Participate in Quality Assurance Programs to ensure high-quality care
Requirements
  • Valid NJ RN license required
  • Nursing degree required with at least 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience
  • MSN preferred
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Certification is preferred
  • At least 3 years administrative and acute care psychiatric experience preferred in all adult patient populations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
