About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our orthopedic surgery team at Henry Ford Health System. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care in the operating room and ambulatory clinic settings.

This is a full-time day position, with no weekends or call required. The selected candidate will split their time between the operating room as a first assist and having their own independent clinic. In the clinic setting, you will manage preoperative and postoperative patients, improving efficiency and patient satisfaction. This role also offers versatility, allowing for coverage during physician absences, sports events, or if needed for increased patient access.

Ambulatory clinic experience is preferred, but not required. You may be occasionally required to round on postoperative patients in the inpatient setting. The ability to work comfortably with residents and other advanced practice providers is essential.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide patient-centered care, assessing, diagnosing, treating, educating, consulting, and coordinating patient care as a first-line provider
* Work collaboratively with staff physicians, house officers, nurses, and other healthcare team members to achieve safe and efficient patient outcomes
* Develop and implement treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and individualized patient needs
* Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical developments and advancements in orthopedic surgery

* Competitive salary: $150,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience
