About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Care Technician to join our team at Boys Town. As a Floor Care Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our children and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain floors, carpets, and upholstered surfaces
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, mopping, stripping, sealing, finishing, and buffing floors
  • Operate a truck-mounted unit while cleaning or restoring surfaces and upholstery
  • Troubleshoot and repair floor care equipment as needed
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and showers, remove marks from walls, and perform general cleaning duties
  • Identify conditions requiring other maintenance attention, including electrical problems and chipping paint, and report conditions
  • Provide routine maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs
  • Supervise and train student workers as needed
  • Utilize Boys Town vehicle to transport supplies and equipment to work locations
Requirements
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months floor care experience is preferred
