Job Summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Site Superintendent Fuels to oversee the management and execution of fueling system maintenance, repair, and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful performance of the contract site, maintaining project safety and quality control, and liaising with the Government customer on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the project site effort, ensuring compliance with contract SOW requirements.
  • Oversee the successful performance of the contract site, ensuring project safety and quality control.
  • Liaise with the Government customer on-site, providing regular updates and ensuring effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain proactive working relationships with team members, vendors, management, and other departments.
  • Monitor and report field execution status with Project Manager and CIG/Fuels leadership.
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing and executing Request for Information (RFIs) requests with designers and engineers.
  • Evaluate program labor hour execution against contractual performance criteria, analyzing and reporting findings on a regular basis.
  • Establish and monitor detailed workflows and resourcing plans, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and managing progress.
  • Foresee project obstacles, risks, and constraints, effectively planning around them.
  • Complete Daily Quality Control Reports (DQCRs) and perform USACE 3-phase inspections.
  • Ensure the availability and employment of qualified labor and management necessary to perform operations and support services in a cost-effective, safe, and environmentally sound manner.
  • Oversee the development of a training program addressing Government training and contractor-provided training to ensure contractor personnel are trained and required skills are maintained.
  • Direct the enforcement of the site-specific safety plan and supervise all project site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including Quality Control Manager (QCM) and/or Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) based on specific contract requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years of aviation fueling system maintenance, repair, and construction experience.
  • OSHA 30-hour Safety Course certification.
  • Current USACE QCM Course certificate.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to travel to various sites in TX, AR, LA, and OK.
  • Ability to pass a favorable motor vehicle report and background check.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Possess knowledge and skills in written communications to initiate and compose activity hazard analyses.
  • Skilled in oral communications to implement activity hazard analyses.
  • Trained to utilize the USACE RMS system to manage submittals and daily reporting.
  • Knowledge of UFGS for DoD Fueling System Design.
  • Knowledge of API 650/653, API 570, and ASME welding requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction design/engineering documents and project schedules.
  • Knowledge of computers and the ability to use commercial software programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency in assigned functions and attention to details.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
