**Responsibilities**
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs and conducting patient histories
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
- Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals
- Provide injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
- Answer telephone calls and screen referrals
**Requirements**
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or 12 months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
- Current Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA) or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire date
