Job Overview:

About the Job:
This part-time position (18-20 hours/week) is based in Grand Rapids, MI, with temporary remote work arrangements due to COVID-19 restrictions. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid or flexible schedule. Your primary responsibilities include processing mailed donations, reconciling online donations, preparing receipts, and collaborating with the finance team. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
* Process donations timely and accurately, adhering to established procedures and guidelines
* Reconcile online donations, including annual gift catalog donations, on a daily basis
* Prepare and mail receipts, following established receipting guidelines and IRS regulations
* Collaborate with the finance team to provide accurate deposit information and resolve any discrepancies
* Troubleshoot online giving issues for donors, resolving the issue and following up by phone or email
* Ensure that Individual Retirement Account, stock, estate, donor-advised fund, and multi-agency donations are processed appropriately and acknowledged based on established guidelines and regulations
* Participate in annual audit work, providing all required information to the finance team in a timely manner
* Maintain CRM data integrity through impeccable entry of new contact information, monitoring and scrubbing duplicate data from integrated systems, and updating demographic and mailing information
* Provide excellent internal customer service and collaborate with WR fundraising and finance teams as needed

Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
* At least one year of experience maintaining database information
* Experience working in Salesforce NPSP is a plus
* Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
* Basic knowledge of financial accounting and ability to reconcile financial information
* Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
* Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain confidentiality, and exercise good judgment in situations with unclear information
