Responsibilities- Provide patient education and counseling on surgical and anesthetic options
- Perform thorough anesthetic assessments and determine the safest patient-focused plan for anesthesia, analgesia, and post-operative recovery
- Ensure patient understanding and obtain informed consent for anesthetic procedures
- Order and administer preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative anesthetic medications
- Initiate anesthesia, maintain anesthetic depth, and conduct controlled emergence and extubation
- Complete post-operative assessments and participate in anesthesia-related educational programs
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia training program with a MSN or DNP degree
- Current certification/recertification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
- Valid Pennsylvania RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Excellent airway skills and venous and arterial access capabilities
- Minimum of one year of previous experience, with exceptional new graduates considered
