Position Overview

Treatment Access and Services Center (TASC) is currently in search of a dedicated full-time Substance Abuse Counselor to become a vital part of our DDAP licensed Central Intake and Referral Unit. The successful candidate will be tasked with conducting comprehensive level of care assessments and providing suitable treatment referrals in accordance with ASAM criteria for clients mandated by the court.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct level of care (LOC) assessments utilizing ASAM criteria
  • Design and execute personalized recovery plans
  • Provide brief case management and outreach services to promote adherence to treatment
  • Compile summaries and reports for relevant stakeholders
  • Facilitate connections to other healthcare or counseling professionals

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in counseling, social work, or related disciplines
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution techniques
  • Empathetic and supportive attitude
  • Capability to navigate client resistance effectively
  • Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Certification as a CADC and familiarity with 12-step recovery methods is advantageous; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
