Job Summary:

As a Therapist (LCSW/LCPC), you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with substance use disorders and mental health issues. You will work collaboratively with hospital staff, providing liaison activities and coordinating transfers to outside substance abuse facilities. You will also provide short-term therapy for patients with addiction and/or mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychosocial assessments, individual, family, and group therapy to inpatients, PHP, and IOP as required by schedule.
  • Provide psychoeducational groups to inpatients, PHP, and IOP as required by schedule.
  • Address clinical case disposition assignments, including patient transfers, referrals, and discharges.
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes for all assigned patients.
  • Participate in or provide clinical information regarding patients at treatment team meetings.
  • Provide ongoing therapy services for patients, using techniques and interventions appropriate to the patients' needs.
  • Work with patients to develop treatment plans, including specific goals and objectives to be addressed in treatment.
  • Complete appropriate documentation in medical records within timeframes established by departmental policy.
  • With permission of patients, provide communication back to referring providers about patient diagnosis, treatment plan, and progress.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois.
  • Specific expertise in clinical assessment of alcohol and drug use, misuse, and recovery support.
  • 2 years' experience providing treatment to individuals with substance use history.
