The YMCA of Greater Boston seeks a reliable and safety-conscious Van Driver to transport children from school to the afterschool program. The ideal candidate will have a good driving record, a 7D or school bus license, and excellent communication skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining transportation of children from school to the afterschool program
  • Routine upkeep of YMCA vehicles, including refueling, basic operational checks, and maintaining interior cleanliness
  • Communicating clearly with YMCA Site Coordinators/Directors and Program Administrators to facilitate timely pick-ups and drop-offs
  • Maintaining program attendance after driving duties are completed
  • Signing in/out program participants and greeting families entering the Y facility

The successful candidate will possess effective leadership skills, crisis management skills, and excellent organizational skills. First Aid and CPR certifications are required within the first six months of employment.
