Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide medical services between two correctional facilities in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have experience in correctional medicine, psychiatry, urgent care, primary care, and emergency medicine.
Job Responsibilities- Perform vital signs and medical history assessments
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and trauma independently
- Refer patients to clinical directors for conditions beyond scope of training and experience
- Manage chronic health problems
- Prescribe medications and narcotics as directed by physicians
- Administer immunizations
- Provide counseling and guidance on health-related issues
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and X-rays
