Medical Support Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Support Associate to join our team at McLaren Health Care. As a Medical Support Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine patient care services such as call light response, ambulation, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Collect, record, and report patient data, including changes in condition.
- Assist with clerical tasks, including data entry and phone coverage.
- Transcribe physician orders and notify relevant parties.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of a health unit coordinator course or coursework in medical terminology and computer/data entry.
- Prior nursing assistant experience of at least six months, or specialized education requirements (acute care nursing assistant course, long-term care nursing assistant course, emergency medical technician program, medical assistant program, or clinical rotation).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as Healthcare Provider or equivalent through the Military Training Network (MTN).
Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
