Job Title: Intermediate Data Scientist

The School of Data Science at the University of Virginia seeks an experienced Data Scientist to work on cutting-edge projects in machine learning and AI. The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty and staff to provide actionable insights and drive research forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data management and analysis solutions to support University projects and programs.
  • Develop and execute statistical models and predictive analytics to drive research and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze data trends and opportunities.
  • Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data science and AI.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related field.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
