As a key member of the local executive management team, the Area Director of Finance will oversee 1-3 large Distribution Centers (DCs) and drive financial excellence across the area. This role requires a strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the area's financial strategy, aligning with the company's long-range plan.
- Partner with the Area President and functional leaders to drive financial results and achieve key performance indicators.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis function, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
- Manage the area's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the Controller's Group and other finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Area leaders, functional teams, and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of accounting and/or financial analysis management experience.
- Proven experience in leading and managing others, with a strong track record of driving financial results.
- General knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SOX.
- Broad skillset in financial analysis and financial modeling, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- BS in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- CPA or MBA.
- Industry experience and understanding of inventory management.
- Experience collaborating in a functional matrixed environment and virtual leadership across multiple sites.
- Anaplan experience.
The expected compensation for this role is between $170,000 and $200,000, with an annual incentive plan bonus. Benefits include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
