The Clorox Company is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team, you will play a critical role in driving environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across our manufacturing sites and other assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Training: Provide managerial leadership and training to environmental leads at our manufacturing sites, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to drive environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
- Compliance and Audits: Conduct on-site environmental audits, identify gaps, and work with site teams to implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to site leads on environmental regulatory compliance requirements, including air, waste management, stormwater, and industrial wastewater programs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support environmental target criteria on project teams and communicate deliverables related to environmental compliance and sustainability opportunities and results to HSE and business leadership.
- Regulatory Management: Assist sites in management of TRACS (HSE data systems), troubleshoot issues, and assist site leads with training or issues they encounter as they handle compliance activities.
- Leadership and Influence: Demonstrate leadership and influence to drive total results, working collaboratively in partnership to deliver environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
- Leadership Experience: Validated performance in a position of direct leadership for environmental compliance deliverables (3+ years' experience).
- Environmental Knowledge: Technical knowledge of environmental regulatory compliance requirements, including in-depth understanding of air, waste management, stormwater, industrial wastewater, and EPCRA programs.
- Negotiation Skills: Experienced in negotiations with EPA and/or State regulatory authorities.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills.
