Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Specialist to join our team at Iroquois Job Corps. As a Recreation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing recreational and leisure time activities that promote the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recreational programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure a balanced and engaging program that supports academic and vocational training
  • Provide guidance and support to students in developing life skills and confidence
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to program development

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field
  • 1-year experience working with youth
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License Class B within three months of hire
  • Water Safety Certification preferred
