Job Description:

We are looking for a senior analyst/developer with experience in.NET applications to work in our state office with our existing technical team members. The contractor will be responsible for:

  1. Serving as a technical Microsoft.NET developer for MDES
  2. Maintaining, supporting, and developing enhancements to the MDES Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) application
  3. Assisting the MDES technical team supporting the functions required under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
Required Skills/Experience:

To qualify for this position, the contractor must possess the following skills and experience:

  1. .NET Development and Support - Required
  2. .NET Visual Studio - Required
  3. Record locking development and experience- Preferred
  4. Application-level security- Preferred
  5. System and user level auditing- Preferred
  6. SQL Server Database Administration - Preferred
  7. Design and produce queries for quarterly, yearly, and ad hoc reports required by US Department of Labor, Legislature, and state and local partners- Preferred
  8. Data modelling- Preferred
  9. Microsoft server operating systems including Windows 2008- Preferred
  10. Project Management Professional (PMP) - Preferred
  11. Crystal reports and reporting software- Preferred
  12. JavaScript- Preferred
  13. Object oriented programming, mainframe programming, and cross system data exchanges- Preferred
  14. Document and troubleshoot current web and network security issues and certificate authorities- Preferred
  15. Experience with Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration accounting software and MAGIC/PayMode, including interfaces with MAGIC (vendor payment system) - Preferred
  16. Create and maintain testing environment and data needed for testing- Preferred
  17. Coordinate QA User Testing activities among various State and Local parties- Preferred
