Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer will play a vital role in our Mission Critical group, which is dedicated to delivering exceptional engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage collaboratively with Project Architects, Engineers, and Construction Managers to develop innovative design strategies throughout all project phases.
  • Interact with clients, owners, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Design air-side mechanical systems, including direct expansion (DX) and chilled water air handling units (AHUs), along with ductwork sizing and computer room air-handling units.
  • Develop water-side mechanical systems, encompassing chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and piping.
  • Conduct HVAC load calculations to optimize system performance.
  • Oversee project phasing plans, implementing temporary measures to maintain operations in active facilities.
  • Facilitate facility evaluations, engineering studies, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to junior staff members.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and hold a Professional Mechanical Engineer license in at least one state. A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in the mission critical sector, is required. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM360 is advantageous but not mandatory.
