Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Job Overview

Soliant is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to provide essential therapy services to students with communication disorders in a school-based setting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of speech and language development in children, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will assist in assessments, implement therapy interventions, facilitate group sessions, and document progress under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in assessments and develop therapy plans for students with communication disorders
  • Implement therapy interventions, including individual and group sessions, to support speech and language development
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records
  • Work collaboratively with Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, and other professionals to support student learning

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required
