Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support the speech and language development of students in a school-based setting.

Position Overview:

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to provide essential therapy services to students with communication disorders. Your responsibilities will include assisting in assessments, implementing therapy interventions, facilitating group sessions, and documenting progress under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting assessments to identify student needs
  • Implement individualized therapy plans to improve student communication skills
  • Facilitate group sessions to promote social interaction and language development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and treatment outcomes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required

Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000 depending on experience. The compensation package includes a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, and opportunities for professional development.
