Senior Linux Administrator Position

This is a senior-level position within our IT department, focusing on Linux system administration and management.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in managing and maintaining Linux based operating systems, with a strong focus on knowledge management practices, escalation handling, and technical guidance provision.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Knowledge Management Practices by creating, updating, and deprecating work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Manage and resolve technical incidents escalated by the L-2 team, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with technology vendors to address complex issues and participate in major incident calls and client meetings as a Subject Matter Expert.
Key Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Linux LVM, OVM, KVM, RHEV, docker container/ OpenShift.
- Strong understanding of Redhat licensing/subscription awareness.
- Expertise in network-based OS installation (kickstart) and management of Redhat Linux, cluster, and satellite.
- Proficient in OS upgrades and applying security updates (patching), Schedulers, Cron Jobs, Transaction logging.
- Familiarity with Security Hardening of the Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of Network-Based File Sharing protocols (FTP/NFS/CIFS/SAMBA).
- Experience in File System management and User management.
- Deploying, maintaining, and supporting Linux Server infrastructures and storage systems in an enterprise environment.
Requirements:
- RHCE certification or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct research into Server issues and related components.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work efficiently.
- 3+ Years fulfilling Server Administration and break/fix duties.
- Understanding of Virtual platform technologies such as VMWare.
- Familiarity with remote management console technologies and functionality.
