Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Cost Analyst to join our Advanced Development Program (ADP) Finance team in Palmdale, CA, Fort Worth, TX, or Marietta, GA. As a Material Cost Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting program finance functions, including establishing and managing program cost baselines, conducting Earned Value analysis, and reconciling actual cost accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage program cost baselines
  • Conduct Earned Value analysis and determine appropriate Earned Value techniques
  • Reconcile actual cost accounts and supplier reconciliations
  • Analyze variances using various Enterprise toolsets, including Cobra and SAP
  • Present findings to management and support data-driven decision making
  • Mentor early career team members and provide guidance on financial analysis and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts and their application
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Products, with emphasis on Excel
  • Financial analysis skills and ability to present findings to management
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • Familiarity with Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) and Hyperion/Accounting Data Analysis and Reporting (ADAR)
  • Experience in developing program budgets and Estimates at Completion
  • Data analysis skills and ability to develop self-developed queries
  • Familiarity with cost systems similar to Deltek Cobra
  • High degree of interpersonal skills and ability to interface with Senior Leadership, Control Account Managers, and Program Management leads
