Athletic Coach Position

The Tahoe Truckee Unified School District is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Athletic Coach to lead our middle school boys basketball team. As a key member of our athletic department, you will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive athletic program that promotes student-athlete development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a coaching philosophy that aligns with the district's athletic department goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, select, and manage a team of student-athletes who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and teamwork.
  • Design and implement a training program that focuses on skill development, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and supportive team culture that promotes student-athlete well-being and academic success.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., exercise science, sports management, education).
  • Minimum 2 years of coaching experience at the middle school or high school level.
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification and TB test results.
  • NIAA Concussion Training and Coaching Fundamentals certification.
