Job Summary

Zak Designs is seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling dinnerware and flatware into sets and displays, pre-pricing product to meet customer needs, and performing first-line quality assurance procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and unpack product
  • Examine product for defects
  • Assemble and package product
  • Pre-price product as necessary
  • Shrink wrap product as necessary
  • Perform general clean-up of the production room, conveyor, tape machine, tables, etc.
  • Assist in the unloading of trucks and in the warehousing of product
  • Assemble display corrugation
  • Break out product from masters to inners for key customers

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.

Language Skills

The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, shipping documents, and memos, as well as the ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers, is required.

Mathematical Skills

The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, is required.

Reasoning Ability

The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions and to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or limited variables is required.
