Airswift is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer II to join our team in Annandale, NJ. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading design teams and providing technical oversight for engineering contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead design teams in the development of basic process design specifications or provide oversight of engineering contractors' technical deliverables.
- Monitor and lead junior engineers in the development of process design specifications, including heat and material balances, design flow plans, and process equipment design.
- Provide technical oversight for engineering contractors' work during front-end engineering and design/detailed engineering phases of projects.
- Participate in Hazard and Operability Reviews for new/modified facilities and provide commissioning and start-up assistance as required.
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in petroleum refining/chemical process industry or with an engineering contractor serving these industries.
- Capital project development experience.
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
- Fluent English language skills, especially for technical and business communications.
The successful candidate will work on small projects and operations associated with research equipment, including detailed engineering, process and mechanical design, and providing technical guidance to electrical design teams. They will also develop quality assurance plans and ensure the quality of final work products and workmanship against design specifications.
