About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer and Policy Specialist to join our team at SAIC, supporting the Cloud Investment Multi-Cloud Management (CIMM) team. As a key contributor to the intelligence community's first multi-cloud initiative, you will play a critical role in establishing a foundation that will evolve to include all agencies within the IC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compose technical documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
  • Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.
  • Conduct research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology.
  • Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Establish the overall organizational layout and editorial standards of submissions.
  • Work with the Project Management Office (PMO) to develop a consistent, uniform style and language.
  • Manage the schedule, assignments, and meetings associated with all narratives and submissions.
Requirements
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with Polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's degree and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Will accept additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Organizing and coordinating the activities for a small team of writers.
  • Demonstrated experience using Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable researching cloud technologies.

  • Understanding of basic cloud technologies and terminology.
