Global Atlantic offers an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Specialist position. This role involves being part of a dedicated team of customer service representatives who handle insurance support inquiries, post-call activities, and follow-up commitments for our annuity clients. The position entails the following responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comprehend insurance products, processes, and system functionalities.
  • Respond to incoming calls while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Document conversations and written correspondence in a database or tracking system, ensuring accurate maintenance of corresponding hard copy files where necessary.
  • Address and resolve telephone inquiries from contract parties within established service standards.
  • Identify, communicate, and proactively address issues or challenges.
  • Provide accurate responses to all customer inquiries regarding Global Atlantic products, clearly articulating features, advantages, and benefits while understanding state-specific variances.
  • Investigate client requests or complaints using system and contract provisions to deliver resolutions within defined administrative and compliance guidelines.
  • Focus on Global Atlantic's long-term success by cultivating strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Be the primary contact for assigned sales representatives, accounts, and states.
  • Offer a wide range of technical and operational support to clients and agents.
  • Utilize reporting tools judiciously and ensure privacy is maintained when providing reports to external customers.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional groups.
  • Possess knowledge of commission triggers by product, commission payments, and chargebacks by product and distribution channel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service.
  • Proficient in PC and software applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry is advantageous.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new products, concepts, and procedures.
  • Understanding of the industry, sales processes, and distribution channels.
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational skills.
