Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Clinical Informatics Analyst to join our team at Baton Rouge General. As a key member of our clinical informatics team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining clinical information systems, serving as a liaison between IT and patient care areas, and ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's clinical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary support contact for application end-users, identifying and resolving issues that arise in their application area and impacting other application teams.
  • Guide workflow design, build, and testing of the system, analyzing technical issues associated with Epic software.
  • Identify and implement requested changes to the system, serving as a liaison between end-users' workflow needs and Epic implementation staff.
  • Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives, participating in weekly project team meetings, and working with Epic representatives, business community, and end-users to ensure the system meets business needs.
  • Develop an understanding of operational needs to set direction for organization's workflows by attending site visits and integrated sessions.
  • Participate in training and work with end-users, troubleshooting problems and questions, reviewing project status and issues with leadership, and holding weekly communications with team members.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, or 2 years' work experience.
  • Clinical experience 3-5 years in healthcare setting.
  • Current Louisiana license as clinical professional preferred.
  • Registered Nurse preferred.
  • Experience with personal computers (2-3 years), PC hardware troubleshooting experience helpful.
  • Informatics analysts gain in-depth knowledge of software by attending training at Epic and completing application certification projects and tests.
