JOB TITLE:

AGRONOMY SALES SPECIALIST

QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid driver's license.
Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or Soil Science.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in retail Agronomy or a related sector.
Demonstrated positive sales attitude.
Certification as a Professional Agronomist is preferred.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Objective:

Engage directly with agricultural clients to cultivate a trusted, consultative sales relationship, assisting them in achieving enhanced yields through the use of advanced chemicals, fertilizers, and seeds while delivering exceptional service.

During peak seasons, provide support to the operational aspects of the business as required.
Conduct crop scouting to help clients enhance yields and address challenges.
Collaborate with established clients to fulfill their agronomy service requirements and sustain their business relationships.
Timely field visits to gather seed, plant, and soil samples.
Analyze samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other variations.
Maintain comprehensive records regarding fields, clients, crops, and samples.
Generate reports and communicate findings to management, clients, or other stakeholders.
Develop planting schedules, budgets, and timelines.
Assist the sales office with logistics during peak periods.
Proficient in computer usage, particularly diagnostic software.
Exemplary listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong research, decision-making, technological, and developmental capabilities.
Awareness of industry trends, technologies, and advancements.
Sales and presentation proficiency.
Strive to maintain or expand the existing customer base annually.
Collaborate closely with seed companies to remain informed about seed varieties.
Engage with chemical representatives to stay updated on current and future developments.
Maintain relationships with all seed, chemical, and fertilizer suppliers.
Understand the operational aspects of custom application equipment and its usage.
Oversee inventory management, fulfillment, and delivery of products to clients.
