Job Overview

Building Attendant I - Concessions

Compensation: $15.458 per hour

This is a temporary and seasonal position that is non-exempt and not eligible for benefits. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and contribute positively to our community. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for guests at the Eagan Civic Arena.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety for all visitors at the Eagan Civic Arena and its surroundings.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by preparing and selling concession items, facilitating birthday celebrations, and assisting with group rentals.
  • Manage cash transactions and operate the cash register effectively.
  • Assist with inventory management of concession supplies.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks within the facility.
  • Enforce facility policies and adhere to standards set by health and safety regulations.
  • Support recreational programs, activities, and city-wide events as needed.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Applicants must be at least 15 years old.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a paid role.
  • Experience with cash register operations and payment processing.
  • Background in food preparation, whether through personal experience or formal classes.
  • Experience engaging with diverse groups of people, such as through babysitting or volunteer work.
  • Ability to ice skate.
